The spread of information in this day and age is faster than ever – and so is the connection between people thanks to cell phones.
There is no better example of this other than the quick spread of news of Michael Jackson's death earlier this year, or this story of high school sexting.
Chicago Breaking News reported that police have seized nine cell phones from students in a Plainfield, Il high school after a 16-year-old high school honors student took a "fully nude" photograph of herself and sent it to a male student.
The male student then forwarded the photo onto four of his friends, three of whom went on to forward it to others. Before long the photo spread to hundreds of other students.
As the girl who took and sent her photo is 16, the viewing and forwarding of it are technically violations of child pornography statutes. Police are now investigating the matter with nine cell phones turned over to computer forensic specialists at the Will County Sheriff's Department.
